Privacy notice
Who runs this site
I'm Andrei (Andy) Daniluc, based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I run andydaniluc.com and I decide what happens to the details you send through it. Write to me at me@andydaniluc.com about anything on this page.
What I collect and why
- Cart request (Get in touch). Your name, your email, the services in your cart and the total. I use them to reply with a quote. Legal basis: steps you ask for before we sign a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Booking a meet. Your name, your email and the slot you pick. I use them to set up the call and send you a confirmation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b).
- Newsletter. Your email and the date you signed up. I use it to send you my thoughts by email. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Poll. Your yes or no vote, linked to a random ID stored in a small cookie (
shop_poll, kept for one year) so you can change your vote and nobody votes twice from the same browser. The ID carries no name or email. - Spam protection. When you send a form, the server keeps a scrambled code made from your IP address for up to 24 hours, to block floods of automated submissions. The code can't be turned back into your IP address. Legal basis for the poll and spam protection: my legitimate interest in running a working, spam-free site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
In your browser
Your cart is saved in your browser's local storage, so it survives a page reload. It stays on your device until you send a request. Your cookie choice is saved the same way. Fonts, images and videos load from this server. The Vimeo links open Vimeo's own site, where Vimeo's privacy policy applies.
Google Analytics
If you click Accept on the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics. It sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_ZB5MDH2F03, kept for up to two years) and sends Google the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. I use the reports to see which pages and ads people visit. Google Analytics doesn't store your IP address. Google Ireland Limited processes this data for me and may transfer it to the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
If you click No thanks, the site doesn't load Google's script and sets no analytics cookies. Change your cookie choice at any time.
Where your details go
Form entries are stored on this site's server, hosted by GlobeHosting in Romania. A copy of each request, booking and sign-up is emailed to my Gmail inbox, so Google stores it as my email provider. If I send the newsletter through a mailing service, I'll upload your email address there for that purpose only. I don't sell or share your details with anyone else.
How long I keep them
- Requests and bookings: up to two years after we last spoke. If we end up working together, I keep what Romanian accounting and tax law requires for as long as it requires.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.
- Poll votes: until the poll closes.
- Spam-protection codes: 24 hours.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months, then Google deletes it automatically.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of your details, ask me to correct or delete them, limit or object to how I use them, or get them in a portable format. Email me@andydaniluc.com and I'll answer within one month.
If you think I've handled your data badly, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority in your own EU country.
Changes
When I change this notice, I'll update the date at the top.
